With the help of allies like Lady Singham (Deepika Padukone), Simmba (Ranveer Singh), Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar), and Satya (Tiger Shroff), Singham heads to Sri Lanka for an epic rescue mission. The story draws parallels with the Ramayan, adding a mythological layer to the action-packed plot.
Review: Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty, is an explosive entry in the Singham universe. This time, Singham takes on Omar Hafiz’s (Jackie Shroff) drug empire, led by his son, Danger Lanka, while trying to save his kidnapped wife. The movie delivers relentless action, larger-than-life heroes, and high-energy drama, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.
The film prioritizes thrills over a deep story, but that’s expected in Shetty’s action-packed style. The team of heroes brings unmatched energy to the screen. Ranveer Singh as Simmba steals the show with his hilarious comic timing, especially in moments like his mimicry of Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar. Ajay Devgn holds the spotlight with his commanding performance, while Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, and Akshay Kumar make impactful appearances. Arjun Kapoor impresses as the menacing villain, proving a formidable match for Singham.
The film blends high-octane action with cultural references to the Ramayan and Kalaripayattu. While some nods feel forced, the overall spectacle is captivating. Shantanu Srivastav’s punchy dialogues and Raza Mehta’s stunning visuals of Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu add to the experience. The recreated Ramayan stage performance is a visual highlight, showcasing the film’s grand production values.
The action sequences, choreographed by Grant Hulley, Sunil Rodrigues, and Shetty himself, are thrilling but could have benefited from a slightly shorter runtime. The movie’s 144-minute length makes it feel stretched at times.
Despite minor flaws, Singham Again is unapologetically entertaining. Moments like Simmba’s chaotic arrival at a traditional Sri Lankan wedding or his interactions with Sooryavanshi provide laugh-out-loud humor. The film ends with a wild twist in the post-credits, teasing fans for what’s next.
If you’re looking for a high-energy mix of action, drama, and comedy, Singham Again delivers it all with roaring intensity.
